Last week we got to meet Kyle Richards from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills! Not only is she absolutely beautiful but she has the BEST jewelry! We are constantly freeze framing the screen to see what she is wearing each week.
So of course we had to wear our best jewelry for the event. Susan wore a Marcia Moran Druzy Cuff, a Druzy ring, Ruby tassel necklace and double drop ruby quartz earrings. I wore a pink and lavender cuff and rose gold and diamond earrings which Kyle LOVED!
This past week we traveled to New York to buy for our website, spring season and our biggest event of the year the Palm Beach Red Cross Designer Show House. We had such a great time buying fabulous jewelry for our customers and are so excited to share our finds! We really think we found some incredible pieces this season. Our trip begun with some appointments at designer showrooms which included Kenneth Jay Lane and Yochi Designs. Kenneth Jay Lane’s showroom was truly costume jewelry heaven…we were drooling and wanted everything!
We were able to take some pieces home with us on the spot and think we found some incredible pieces. We bought some classic pieces that are timeless KJL including some stunning cuffs! Since one of the hottest trends this season are statement earrings we bought some AMAZING ones that are fabulous show stoppers. The most exciting part about our visit was being able to meet Kenneth Jay Lane himself, costume jewelry king. He was so sweet and humble- incredible he still goes to the office every day at the age of 81!
The shows started over the weekend and were truly a whirlwind. Although it is fun to look at amazing jewelry all day it is such hard work! We are so confident this season that we brought together an amazing collection and story with the hottest trends as well as unique pieces. The biggest trends for spring are tribal as well as bright neon colors. Orange is the color of the season in clothes and accessories and the two pieces you cannot live without this season are a great statement earring and a set of bangles. Some of our personal favorite finds were leather cuffs by designer Ted Rossi in bright colors which will arrive shortly as well as a new designer Meg C who created sea inspired statement necklaces with semi-precious stones. We are so excited for our customers to see all our new pieces we have found for them!
While shopping in a booth for the tribal look from Tibet we were able to meet and get a picture with another fashion icon. Although many might not be familiar with her, Iris Appeal has been a fashion and trend icon for literally decades. She was a New York City socialite who had a passion for outrageous fashion and a penchant for over the top and unusual looks. She is the only living person to have an exhibit at the MET devoted entirely to her wardrobe. She is certainly worth googling and seeing some of her amazing outfits. We were able to meet her as she piled mile high a tray full of ethnic beads and wood bangles. Of course we followed suit since she is nothing less than a style setter!
We are finally home and tirelessly pricing our goodies to be able to bring them hot off the runway to the Red Cross as well as our website. So excited to see our customers reaction to everything we found next week! We know they will love everything and we cannot wait to start raising money for the Palm Beach Red Cross chapter and give back to such an amazing organization.
